Marathi actor Nilu Phule defames Warkari

Nilu phule was an Marathi Actor, atheist and had been working vehemently against Hinduism. Nilu Phule abused Hinduism in every forum, almost daily. He died on 12 July 2009. As per his will, no cremation rituals were performed on his dead body as per Hindu Dharma.

Pune (Maharashtra): Given below is an excerpt and comment sent by one HJS website visitor of the event organised by ‘Savdhan Mitra Mandal’ (an ally of Sambhaji Brigade, Anti-Hindu Organization) at the Balgandharva Ranga Mandir, Pune on 27th July 2007 on the occasion of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Felicitation Programme. Around a thousand people attended it.

During this program, Shri. Nilu Phule, (is an Marathi Actor, atheist and has been working vehemently against Hinduism. He abuses Hinduism in every forum, almost daily) who was present as the Chief Guest, passed defamatory remarks about the Warkari Sect. He said, ‘Warkari kaay kartaat – ek tar maal ghaltat kimva baikanchya galyatli maal odhtaat (chortaat) , which means that Warkaris either wear the Mala or they steal malas ( i.e. necklaces) of women.

Shri. Nilu Phule also questioned, Why do the Warkaris stay on in cities/towns even after the Wari (Ashadi Ekadashi) is over or even after the palkhi has left a village? He answered saying that the Warkaris stay on for begging, stealing, robbing, etc.

Nilu Phule further said that people should stop saying Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra, Jai Shivaji and only say Jai Bhim!

Comment of the visitor

The Warkaris (Soldiers of Lord Vithoba) though poor, are extremely pious, genuine and peace loving people walking along with the palkhis throughout the pilgrimage mostly on half stomach for several hundred kilometers mostly barefoot in rain, sun, cold, etc. chanting the name of God viz. ‘Gyanba Tukaram’. If Nilu Phule wants to abuse the Warkaris, he should have shown the courage to go in the Wari amongst lakhs of Warkaris and abused them on their face.
