Strong action should be taken against those who insult National Flag ! Such people do not have any right to live in this country !

Ranchi (Jharkhand): Union tourism minister Subodh Kant Sahay came under the scanner on Wednesday for showing disrespect to the tricolour. According to a few photographs published in some newspapers recently, Sahay can be seen stepping on to the national flag covering a table on a stage at an event to protest the anti-encroachment drive in the state.

The complaint filed by Satish Sinha, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker in the court of chief judicial magistrate Sita Ram Sharma. Sinha said the disrespect was unwarranted from a man of the stature of a union minister. "I was hurt by the act of union minister," said Sinha adding that he has filed the case in individual capacity and not as a BJP worker.

Sahay was booked under section 2 of Prevention of insults to National Honour Act, 1971. The case is due for hearing on Thursday.
