Visakhapatnam : Swami Swaroopanandendra Saraswati of Sri Sarada Peetham in China Mushidivada here on Wednesday appealed to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments to close down all slaughter houses in both the States.
Talking to reporters, he commended the bold decision of the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath to bring the shutters on all abattoirs in that State and felt that the Telugu States should follow suit to prevent cow slaughter.
The seer also hailed the decision of the Supreme Court to find an out of court settlement in the Ayodhya issue. He claimed that Subramanian Swamy had filed the petition in the apex court on his suggestion and said with the judges also ready to mediate, an amicable solution could be found in a year.
