Various drives undertaken at Sambhajinagar on the occasion of Republic Day

Various drives were undertaken at Sambhajinagar under the campaign of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti related to maintaining honour of national flag. These drives helped to kindle patriotism and generate love and respect towards Dharma amongst students, patriotic citizens and ‘Hindutvavadis’.

1. Awareness was created amongst students by submitting representations in 121 schools all over the district and about 6000 students were benefited through drives like holding lectures, showing VCD on the subject and propagating full ‘Vande Mataram’ song.

2. At Swa. Savarkar Chowk, which is in centre of the city, ‘Hindutvavadis’ gathered together and garlanded the statue of Savarakar. Shri. Rhishikesh Khaire, Shiv Sena’s municipal councilor, Shri. Bhau Suradkar of ‘Savarkar-premi’ Mitra Mandal’, Shri. Subhash Kumavat of VHP, Shri. Anil Paithankar of ‘Brahman Mahasangh’, Shri. Shyam Deshpande, President of ‘Yuva Prabodhan Manch’, Sanatan Sanstha’s Shri. Sharad Chawda etc ‘Hindutvavadi’ office bearers and patriotic citizens were present.

3. Patriotic citizens sang all stanzas of ‘Vande Mataram’ at Andhaner. Sou. Meeratai Bagale did ‘puja’ of picture-frame of ‘Bharat Mata’ in the presence of more than 150 local citizens. The program was organized with the initiative of Shri. Badri Wagh and Shri. Gopal  Pune from ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes conducted by HJS.

4. Statue of Ahilyabai Holkar was garlanded through the medium of ‘Ranaragini’ Division at Konkanwadi when former Mayor Vikas Jain, Shiv Sena’s municipal councilor Siddhant Shirsat, former municipal councilor Shri. Vijay Waghchaure, Shri. Janardan Kulkarni etc were present along with many Ranaraginis.

5. At ‘Bhangasi Mata Gada’, a workshop on ‘Dharmaprasar’ and ‘Shaurya Jagaran Abhiyan’ was organized in which few devout Hindus from ‘Jago Hindu- Whats Ap’ group, devout Hindus from ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes and HJS volunteers participated. Few volunteers created awareness amongst local residents and staged road-shows etc. Participants of the workshop staged road-shows written by them on the topics of ‘love jihad’ and ‘Generate patriotism’. Devout Hindus, participating in the work-shop, said that they were happy to celebrate Republic Day in the true sense and showed interest in devoting time for ‘Dharmakarya’.

6. Representations were submitted on behalf of HJS and ‘Hindutvavadis’ to police and administrative departments for maintaining honour of national flags and demanding immediate action against those who abuse national flag.

7. Representation submitted by HJS was read out in few schools. Few schools showed interest in extending cooperation in HJS drive. None of the students from ‘Shishu Vikas’ School bought national flag after awareness was created amongst them on the subject. In another school, HJS was invited to create awareness even towards Valentine Day, after Republic Day drive.

8. A program was held on the Fort in which 59 people including devout Hindus from ‘Dharmashikshan’ class, ‘Sanatan Prabhat’s readers and ‘Hindutvavadis’ participated.

HJS submitted representation to additional District Collector at Nanded regarding maintaining honour of national flag. Awareness was created amongst students from different schools at Nagpur benefiting 1100 students and teachers.
