Do not screen film ‘Raees’ : Representation by Hindu Dharma Sena to theatre owners

One theatre-owner lodges complaint with police

Vita (Dist. Sangli) : A representation was submitted on behalf of ‘Hindu Dharma Sena (HDS)’ to the owners of ‘Prasad’ and ‘Bhairavnath’ theatres demanding that film ‘Raees’ should not be released at these theatres since it has Pakistani artists. Shri. Shiva Shinde, the Chief of HDS, Shri. Vijay Jadhav, its Dy. Chief, its Secretary Santosh Aivale, ‘Raje Pratishthan’s State President Tushar Thorat, its Sangli District President Vinod Pundit, Amol Pawar, Amar Shinde, Vinod Chavan, Prashant Mulik, Vikas Pawar and other soldiers were present on the occasion. One theatre-owner lodged a complaint after receiving the representation. Police called office bearers of HDS to police station for discussions and served them notice under Section 149. (What is wrong with giving representation against release of a film with Pakistani artists ?
