Bengaluru : Ranaragini stages demonstrations demanding security of women

Bengaluru : On 15th January, Ranaragini Division promoted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Nari Suraksha Sena (NSS) staged demonstrations in front of Town Hall to protest against insecurity of women and to demand protection for them. Sou. Anuradha of NSS, Kum. Bhavya Gauda of ‘Ranaragini Division’ and Sou. Manjula Muguri of Muguri community participated in the demonstrations.

Advocate Pramila Nesaragi, former President of ‘Mahila Ayoga’ stated, “There is tendency to defame Hindus Saints; therefore, we should unite and raise voice against the same. We should become fearless like Kittur’s Rani Chennamma, Jhansi’s Rani Lakshmibai and teach lesson to ant-social elements.” She also said, “Presently, security of women is of utmost importance. The Government should take necessary steps towards the same. We have been ‘Annapurna’ and ‘Lakshmi’ till now but we should become Durga and Chandi considering the present period. Every woman must get trained in self-defence; fight against evils in society while taking care of all responsibilities.”
