Pujya (Dr.) Pingale guides during a program at Ratlam (MP)

How can a system, under which oath can be taken by keeping hand on a holy scripture, be secular ? – ‘Pujya’ Dr. Charudatta Pingale, national Guide, HJS

Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh) : In a Court, an oath taken by keeping hand on holy scripture is accepted. If in a secular system where religion and sects do not matter, oath taken by keeping hand on a holy scripture is allowed, why can’t other systems be based on religion? The above question was asked by ‘Pujya’ Dr. Charudatta Pingale, national Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) while speaking during a program organized by ‘Sanatan Dharmasabha and Maharudra Yadnya Samiti’. Sou. Sunita Yarde, Mayor of Ratlam, Shri. Milind Karandikar, President of ‘Ratlam Maharashtra Mandal’ and former MLA Shri. Komalsingh Rathod shared the dais with him. The program was compeered by Shri. Pushpendra Joshi, the Joint Secretary of ‘Sanatan Dharmasabha’.

‘Pujya’ Dr. Pingale said, “Dharma is not just a saviour form. Hanumant who used to sit humbly in front of Prabhu Shriram as a slave, used to be very aggressive in front of demons like Ravana. This is Dharma. Therefore, having knowledge of Dharma and abiding by Dharma are two different things. Sweetness cannot be separated from sugar; similarly, Dharma and human being cannot be separated. Dharma is all pervading and is the Absolute Truth; therefore, all should study Dharma and try to abide by it.”

Only Dharma can change man into human ! – Milind Karandikar, President, Ratlam Maharashtra Mandal

Shri. Karandikar, who was presiding over the program, said, “Pujya’ Dr. Pingale is a highly qualified doctor and still he is propagating Dharma, which is laudable. Everyone takes pride in own Dharma and feels that it is supreme; but only Hindu Dharma gives us a perspective of learning from everyone. Can there be more secular Dharma than Hindu Dharma ? Today, we need to take ahead Dharma and science, both together. A person may become an achiever due to his education; but only Dharma can make him a human.”

Highlights

1. An exhibition of Sanatan’s books and ‘sattvika’ products was held; so also flex-boards on ‘Devalay-darshan’, ‘Aachar-dharma’, ‘Gou-raksha’ etc were displayed at the venue of the program.

2. ‘Pujya’ Dr. Pingale gave information, with the help of a projector, about different ‘Yadnyas’ performed at Sanatan’s ashram and related experiences.

Performing all our duties with sincerity like Prabhu Shriram is Dharma ! – Sou. Sunita Yarde, Mayor, Ratlam

To do our duties and shoulder our responsibilities with honesty is also Dharma. Prabhu Shriram performed his every duty in appropriate manner. We are born as human beings and we should make the best use of it. Today, ‘Pujya’ Dr. Pingale explained to us importance of Dharma, in most scientific manner. I pray that Saints like him come to our town often and bestow their blessings over us.”

If having an expert for every field is progress, how can Hindu Dharma be backward that has a Deity for every function ?

‘Pujya’ Dr. Pingale said, “Earlier, there used to be only one doctor for treating human beings and animals. Now, for every organ of man, there is an independent doctor and we say how science has advanced. The world has become modern; similarly, there are separate Deities for every function; e.g. showering water is ‘Varun-devata’, water flowing in a river is Jal-devata and so, there are 33 crores of Deities; then how can be Hindu Dharma called as backward ?”
