Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh) : We are blindly following meaningless western culture, knowingly or unknowingly, through small things like greeting each other saying ‘hello’; shaking hands; celebrating Mother’s- Father’s Day etc. On the other hand, those people are getting drawn towards Hindu culture on realizing the futility in their culture; therefore, we should stop blindly following westerners and should follow own culture taking pride in the same, stated ‘Pujya’ Dr. Charudatta Pingale, national Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) while addressing students from Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir (SSVM) run by ‘Shriram Shikshan Sanstha’. Shri. Virendra Saklecha, Director of SSVM, Shri. Brajeshnandan Mehta, the President and Shri. Mahesh Sharma, a teacher were the other dignitaries sharing dais with him. 300 students from 4th to 10th standards attended the guidance.

‘Pujya’ Dr. Pingale said, “Under ‘Tantra-shastra’, a doll is made in the name of a person who is to be oppressed and it is cut. Now, we are following westerners so much that we write own name on cake and then cut such cake. Is it right ? Birthday should be celebrated as per our Hindu calendar. Festivals related to all Deities are on certain ‘Tithi (a day under Hindu calendar)’ then why should we celebrate our birthday as per English calendar ? Extinguishing light is not considered as auspicious by us as we follow the tradition of lighting lamps i.e. going from dark to light; so, is it right to blow off candle and create darkness on our auspicious day ? Everyone needs to think about it.”

We are life-long students of Goddess Saraswati who gives us knowledge ! – ‘Puya’ Dr. Charudatta Pingale

Don’t think that the name of this ‘Shishu Vidya Mandir’ is Saraswati. Saraswati shishu i.e. sons of Saraswati ! Saraswati is the Deity of knowledge. One can achieve progress in life only if he is always in learning mode; therefore, we all are lifetime students of this school of Saraswati Devi.
