Women need to become aware of love jihad : Sou. Uma Kadam

Ambernath : Hindus remember days like 25th December, 31st December and 1st January and they tell even importance of these days; but when asked about Gudhi Padava, they are not able to say anything. ‘Dharmashikshan’ is therefore, required to be imparted. There is also need for women to be aware of oppression taking place through medium of love jihad, stated Sou. Uma Kadam of Ranaragini Division. A lecture was organized at Kansai village to create awareness about celebrations on the occasion of 31st December and for ‘Mahila Shaurya Jagaran’. The lecture was attended by 30 devout women.

Highlights

1. Sou. Sindhu Takalkar attending ‘Dharmashikshan’ class conducted by HJS, narrated her experience of oppression. It helped women participants to get motivated since they felt that they too would be able to fight back.

2. Women attending ‘Dharmashikshan’ class made all arrangements for the lecture such as planning, advertisement and preparations.

3. Demonstrations on self-defence were presented on the occasion.
