HJS Chennai holds lecture on Importance of Hindu Dharma

Chennai: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti conducted lectures on Importance of Hindu Dharma in Chennai recently. Mrs. Uma Ravichandran, Coordinator of HJS, Chennai delivered a lecture at the Theosophical Society, Purasawalkam recently which was well received by the attendees.

A devout Hindu, Dr. Vijayalakshmi arranged for a lecture during the celebrations of Muthumariamman Temple, Nungambakkam on recently. Mrs. Uma explained the importance of Hindu Dharma and stressed the need to respect and abide by Hindu culture. She detailed the ill influences of Western culture and how it has pervaded our life in various aspects such as celebration of birthday, New Year, inauguration of a premise, clothing and so on. The correct method of observing these as per Hindu culture and the science behind it was also explained. The attendees were interested in knowing more Hindu Dharma and culture and expressed their desire to have more such lectures in future as well.
