Non-inclusion of Shivaji Maharaj in history books : Shiv Sena MLAs protest against NCERT

There will be outburst in Maharashtra if history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is not included in NCERT text books : Warning by Shiv Sena’s MLA Bharatsheth Gogavale

If elected representatives from all places follow the example of Shiv Sena’s MLAs, inclusion of glorifying and true history of Bharat will take place without further delay !

Nagpur : The Government should take serious note of wrongdoings of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) which did not include history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. History of Mughal kings has been removed from NCERT’s text books in Goa. On the same line, history of Mughal kings should be replaced with the glorifying and true history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in NCERT’s text books published in Maharashtra; else there would be outbreak, was the warning given by Shiv Sena MLA Shri. Bharat Gogavale during demonstrations held in the premises of Vidhan Bhavan.

Shiv Sena MLAs staged demonstrations on the steps of Vidhan Bhavan for the main demand of inclusion of history related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and publishing his picture in NCERT’s text books. All MLAs condemned NCERT for not publishing history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Shri. Bharatsheth Gogavale met the Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis and Education Minister Vinod Tawade and submitted representation for the above demands.

Shiv Sena MLAs Shri. Bharatsheth Gogavale, Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Shri. Chandradip Narake, Shri. Ulhas Pawar, Shri. Mangesh Kudalkar, Shri. Ajay Chaudhary, Shri. Kishore Patil, Shri. Sharad Sonawane, Shri. Subhash Bhoir, Shri. Manoharsheth Bhoir, Shri. Prakash Abitkar, Shri. Sanjay Raimulkar, Shri. Rajabhau Vaje, Shri. Prakash Fatarpekar and Dr. Rahul Patil etc participated in the demonstrations. MLAs raised slogans of ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki Jai’, Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji etc and for inclusion of lesson on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj so also condemning NCERT.
