Hindu families’ threatened to leave country being failed to grab land

Sirajganj : Two Hindu fisherman’s families of Sirajganj got threat to leave country. The incident of threat to leaving country took place at Ullapara of Sirajganj district. The victim families nagged a local powerful person who threatened them to leave country being failed to grab land. The families are now passing their time by guarding village police.

Inhabitants of Dorail fisherman’s village of Bangla union under Ullapara uazila Profulla Chandra Halder and Supad Chandra Halder’s family got this threat. They complained upazila administration and police department with others in this incident.

Police and local sources, powerful Aaynal Haque, inhabitant of Dorail led 10-12 terrorists with local armed attacked at Profulla and Supad Halder’s house in 21th November. At that time they beat members’ of victim families and vandalized houses and also cut trees valued 50,000 taka and they took these.

Profulla and Supad said that they filed a written complaint to Upazila Nirbahi Officer, OC and Union Porishod Chairman.

UNO Sandwip Kumar Sarkar said that the investigation responsibility of that land to detect real ownership has been given to local land office.
