Stop printing pictures of Hindu Deities and Muslim alphabets on footwear : HC

Why a Court has to give such instructions ? The Government should do it on its own !

Police are prompt in submitting report in Courts when Muslims’ religious sentiments are hurt. Police, however, took no action against M F Husain who had drawn indecent pictures of Hindus’ Deities although more than 1250 complaints were lodged against him all over the country. It shows where majority Hindus stand in this country and it makes us realize the need for establishment of Hindu Rashtra ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat

Mumbai : Pictures of Hindus’ Deities and Muslim alphabets are printed on footwear. Police should conduct proper investigations in such cases so that such matters would be curbed before they create communal disharmony. In future, take advice of experts and put curb over incidents of printing pictures of Hindus’ Deities and Muslims’ alphabets. The above order has been issued by Mumbai High Court during hearing of a case in connection with an incident that occurred in 2014 in Thane.

A company named ‘Moksha Footwear Retailer’ had printed alphabet M in English on the sole of a type of footwear. One person lodged a complaint with Naupada police station that M letter was connected to ‘Allah’ or Muslims. Naupada police took immediate action and arrested the owner of ‘Moksha Footwear’ and a person making such soles of the footwear from Delhi; confiscating whole stock. The persons making the footwear and his workers were Muslims. Many Muslims had worn those foot-wears with such sole. Experts of Urdu language have given opinion to Naupada police station that Shri. Deju Shah, the owner of ‘Moksha Foot-wear’, has therefore, not done it purposely and there was nothing objectionable which would cause insult of any religion. In the final hearing on this case, therefore, the Supreme Court cancelled the FIR in this case.
