Intense demonstrations by HJS at Mulund and Jogeshwari against NCERT’s history text book

Adhik Vaishakh Shuddha Trayodashi, Kaliyug Varsha 5112

Out of the 154 pages of ‘Hamare Atit -2’, the text book of History set for VIIth standard by the Central Government’s National Committee for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), most of the pages have been dedicated to the cruel Mughal invaders attacking Hindustan and oppressing Hindus whereas the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who fought with the Mughals and established Hindvi Swaraj, has been mentioned just in 6 lines. There is no mention in the whole book, of the valiant Maharana Pratap who fought against the fanatic and lustful Akbar.

Mumbai: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti staged demonstrations against NCERT at Mulund (East) and Jogeshwari (East) Railway Stations. 60 patriots took part in the demonstrations held at Mulund and 70 at Jogeshwari.

Mulund – The demonstrations began with garlanding the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at the hands of Mr. Madhukar Ghodekar of Sree Sampradaya. Signature drive was also held on the occasion in which many nationalists registered their protest by signing the representation against NCERT.

Feedbacks

1. Mr. Naresh Patil: HJS has taken a commendable drive to bring forth the ‘Islamization’ undertaken by NCERT. The glorification of Muslim invaders going on in our text books is condemnable.
2. Mr. Vighnesh Vaidyanathan : Withdraw the text book ‘Hamare Atit’ and teach true history to the students
3. Mr. Prafulla Shinde: History of Shivaji Maharaj should be presented in the text book. The drive started by HJS for the same is proper.
4. Mr. Sandip Salvi: This is a ploy to eliminate Hindu Dharma. Every Hindu must support HJS

….. then such Government has no right to rule ! – Mr. Madhukar Chodvankar, Shiv Sena

Jogeshwari – In his speech at the demonstrations held here by HJS, Mr. Chodvankar, the branch-chief of Shiv Sena said, “Today, when the State will be completing its 50th year, it is most condemnable of the indifferent Government to come out with such text books that teach wrong history. Such Government has no right to rule.” Mr. Sandip Joshi of Bajarang Dal, Mr. Mahesh Gavankar, dy. Shakha-chief of Shiv Sena and Mr. Sitaram Wadekar of BJP also addressed the gathering.

During this demonstration, 850 people signed the representation to be submitted to the Chief Minister. Hand-bills were also distributed to enlighten people on the issue. Slogans were raised against the anti-Dharma Government and the Education Board. Members of Sree Sampradaya, Bajarang Dal, BJP, Shiv Sena, Sanatan Sanstha and HJS were making an appeal to the people to unite against this anti-Dharma act. Many persons revering Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and devout Hindus demanded that the Government should ban the NCERT’s book, omit the history of cruel Mughal invaders and include history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and other valiant Hindu kings in detail. The demonstrations were concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’.

Feedback

1. Mr. Mahendra Vekhande, Jogeshwari: Shivaraya established Hindavi Swarajya by freeing Maharashtra from the oppression of Mughals but the present rulers appease followers of a particular religion for creating their vote bank and are indifferent to the history of Hindu Dharma.
2. Mr. Vishal Parab, Jogeshwari : Organizations like HJS fighting against those who are insulting our great Saints and now for many years trying to educate Hindus on matters related to Dharma, are required today.
3. Mr. Sharad Mistry : The Government has to be pointed out its mistakes, that too by coming on the roads, is really shameful.
