Delegation of HJS giving representation to the owner of Bhagat Enterprises at Panaji

Panaji : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) recently created awareness amongst traders from the Capital City of Goa, towards prevention of denigration of Deities by discontinuing the use of sacks which have pictures of Hindus’ Deities and great national leaders. The traders from Panaji appreciated the drive and responded positively.

A delegation of HJS met few traders viz. ‘Ajay Amit Traders’; ‘Damodar Lakshmidas’; Kashinath Bhobe, Bhagat Enterprises and Pai Traders in this context and explained to them about denigration of Deities. The delegation comprised of members such as Shri. Shailesh Naik, devout Hindus Shri. Kalidas Raikar, Shri. Raj Chopadekar and Shri. Trivendra Naik. A representation was handed over to these traders on behalf of HJS. It has been stated in the representation that ‘At many places, sacks are used which have pictures of Deities or great national leaders in the market. By using sacks with pictures of Hindu Deities or great national leaders, their denigration is taking place unknowingly; causing harm to Dharma or nation. Sacks with pictures of Deities or national leaders are kept in dirty places or kept at places where meat is consumed or sacks even get trampled at many places; which is so wrong. Therefore, use of sacks with pictures of Deities or great national leaders should be stopped. The wholesalers selling such sacks should be explained about denigration and advised to send sacks without printing pictures of Deities on them.

As per information given by traders, earlier sacks used to have pictures of Shri Tirupati Balaji which were known as Balaji brand sacks; but later, it was stopped. Now, sacks with picture of ‘Balkrushna’ are coming in market; called as Krushna brand. Some of the traders demanded that HJS should take initiative in creating awareness towards the subject with management of ‘Krushna brand’.
