Haridwar (Uttarakhand) : There is one tag-line showing the responsibility undertaken by Sanatan Prabhat periodicals and that is ‘We will not give a person what he wants but we will give him what is required for him’. It is our responsibility. Creating awareness, progress of people and generate patriotism amongst people and to publish newspaper is the vow taken by us. It is not our means of earning money. Reporters, editors working with dedication, with feeling of sacrifice are publishing 4 editions of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’. Not a single reporter, editor is paid salary. We have to bring together those who feel it is their responsibility to work for people and nation’, stated ‘Pujya’ Dr. Charudatta Pingale, national Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) during two- day’s meeting of mass media held at ‘Nishkam Seva Trust’, Haridwar on the subject of ‘Science, Development and Media’. The meeting was also attended by Shri. Govindacharya as Chief Guest and MP from Haridwar and former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal, among other dignitaries. 120 journalists came from all over India for this meeting. Discussions were held on subjects like ‘Presence of Modern Science in Vedas’, ‘Science of Bliss’, ‘Multilateral thinking on Development’, ‘Need for Media’, ‘New Role of Media’ and the present situation of Media. Shri. Rameshwar Mishra, renowned ‘Darshan-shastri’ and famous economist Smt. Kusumlata Kedia also presented their views in the context of journalism.

‘Pujya’ Dr. Charudatta Pingale said in his guidance that ..

1. Western culture is imposed on us by those people. We need to introspect and make people aware about the same through the medium of journalism.

2. Anti-Hindus had started a drive that astrologers would pay back money if their prediction didn’t come correct; but nobody raised voice against companies that claim to make skin fair with their products in seven days. However, a law has to be passed for protection of consumers and awareness has to be created towards the same. It is the duty of journalists. Those, who are involved in financial and cultural attacks on our country, should be exposed before people.

3. Experiments are conducted in Europe based on knowledge available in ‘Vedas’. Why such things don’t happen in our country?

4. Today, citizens of this country have to go to other countries under the prevailing situation. They go out and prove their competence and are helping in development of those countries. Howard University has made Sanskrut as compulsory subject. Pressure should be created on the Government for preventing our brilliant youth from going abroad.

5. Media also looks at the issue of apartheid from commercial angle. Out of ‘Dharma’, ‘Artha’, ‘Kaam’ and ‘Moksha’, everyone is after ‘Artha’ leaving ‘Dharma’. They are not adhering to code of conduct for commercial benefits. Apartheid is shallowness in thinking level of human mind.

6. Journalists should be taught about the beauty of body, beauty of mind and beauty of qualities and should be imparted ‘Dharmashikshan’. Articles exhibiting high level of introspection ability should be published in newspapers. Our Saints didn’t have any modern equipment but on the basis of their righteous behavior, their followers were more than the media.
