HJS ‘First-aid’ on the occasion of ‘Rangpanchami’

New Mumbai: – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organized ‘First-aid’ team on the occasion of ‘Rang-panchami’ from 10.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. in Newi Mumbai. With a view to provide immediate treatment for the minor or serious injuries taking place due to the increasing malpractices, HJS organized a mobile ‘First-aid’ team which went round in Koparkhairane, Turbhe, Vashi, Pavanegaon, Bonkodegaon etc. areas. Mr. Viresh Ahir, Pankaj Savarbandhe, Mahadev Raut, Ajit Jadhav, Jaideep Shedge, Rajan Bhurke, Mr. and Mrs. Prajapati participated in the drive. Mrs. Devayani Mayekar worked as nurse. Mrs. Damayanti Babansheth Ayare, the local municipal councilor of Shiv Sena made available an ambulance belonging to her Gangai Charitable Trust free of cost.

Similar ‘First-Aid’ campaign was also conducted in Mumbai area. There are many incidents of misconduct on the occasion of ‘Dhulivandan’ i.e. the following day of ‘Holi Pournima’ such as use unsafe colours, throwing of balloons filled with coloured water etc, which can cause serious injury.  HJS had, therefore, arranged a ‘First-aid’ mobile van on the occasion which was taken through Lower Parel, Lalbaug, Naigaon, Curry Road, Parel, Bhoiwada, Kala Chowki areas to offer first-aid as also to enlighten people on various problems that can occur due to such misconduct.  The needy were treated free of cost. Announcements were also made appealing people for not using unsafe chemical colours, to maintain sanctity of the festival, not to throw balloons and plastic bags filled with water etc. Mrs. Namita Dukhande and Mrs. Veena Mhatre of HJS who are also trained nurses treated the injured. Shri. Rajesh Kusale, the Shiv Sena ‘Branch-chief’ and Shri. Sanjay Thakur, Dy. ‘Branch-chief’ , Gopal Khadye etc. made available the ambulance without charging anything.
