Satara : Hindus decide to immerse Ganesh idols in traditional manner

Congratulations to Ganeshotsav Mandals from Satara taking decision of immersing Shri Ganesh idols in traditional manner !

Shri. Omkar Dongare, Dr. Mansingh Shinde and Shri. Jitendra Wadekar

Satara: Drive undertaken by pro-Hindu organizations from the city regarding immersion of Shri Ganesh idols is proper and based on Hindu Dharma-shastra. Concepts of ‘Donation of Ganesh idols’ and immersion in ‘artificial water tank’ have no base of science and were neither acceptable to us earlier and nor acceptable even now. We are going to create awareness among our associate Mandals in future on this issue and will give priority to immersion of idols in traditional manner, instead of in artificial water tanks prepared by the local administrations. The above unanimous decision was taken by Ganeshotsav Mandals from Satara during a meeting by all pro-Hindu organizations led by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti with Ganeshotsav and Durgotsav Mandals in the city at Rajatsagar Mangal Karyalaya.

Office bearers of Ganeshotsav Mandals expressed their views in the meeting attended by representatives of more than 70 Mandals. Dr. Mansingh Shinde of HJS, Shri. Jitendra Wadekar, city-Minister of VHP, Shri. Omkar Dongare, ‘Dharkari’ of Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan were present on the occasion. H.B.P. Krushnarao Kshirsagar Maharaj of Warkari Sampradaya also graced the occasion with his auspicious presence. The meeting was started with performing ‘pujan’ of picture-frame of Bhagavan Shrikrushna.

People making noise about pollution due to immersion of Shri Ganesh idols should be asked about sewage water management ! – Dr. Mansingh Shinde, HJS

Progressive organizations have been misleading Government administration and undertaking drives which are against the science, customs and traditions followed in Hindu Dharma since their aim is to eradicate Hindu Dharma. Institutes studying environment and related matters have certified that immersion didn’t cause pollution; in fact, it helps in purification of water. The Government administration is however, falling prey to misleading anti-Dharma information given by the progressive organizations and is trampling religious sentiments of Hindus. The issue regarding immersion of idols is published in local newspapers of Satara and local citizens of Shahunagari are witnessing the chaos at District Administration and Municipal administration. Immesrion of Shri Ganesh idols is done in lake for several years; but why is the problem created now about pollution ? Last year, Rs. 50 lakhs were spent on digging the lake; but now, it is informed that the same work would need Rs. 25 lakhs. People of Satara are not fools to not understand these things. Very few municipalities have provided processing facilities for sewage water. People raising voice about pollution due to immersion of idols should be asked about sewage water management, advised Dr. Shinde.

Those creating legal obstacles in celebration of Hindus’ festivals, will face the consequences in coming elections ! – Jitendra Wadekar, VHP

Condition of Hindus has become pathetic. All laws are meant only for Hindus and all benefits for all non-Hindus, is the present situation. Hindus are crushed under such policies and they should unite to fight against injustice at administrative level. The Government grants funds for Haj pilgrimage; but fares of trains, buses etc. are hiked during Hindus’ festivals. Police and local administrations are turning deaf ear towards ‘azan’ hooted through mosques during all 12 months but they complain of noise pollution during Hindus’ festivals. The local administration and elected representatives should remember that elections are not far off now. If they created legal obstacles during Hindus’ festivals, they will have to face the consequences, warned Shri. Jitendra Wadekar.

Shri. Omkar Dongare of Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’s ‘Dharakari’ also addressed the meeting. Office bearers and activists of Mandals expressed their points.

The program was compeered by Shri. Rahul Kolhapure, reporter of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ and he also did ‘thanks-giving’. The program was concluded with singing all stanzas of ‘Vande Mataram’.

Highlights

1. Exhibition devised by FACT on atrocities against Kashmiri pundits was put up at the venue of the meeting.

2. Police men in plain clothes were present although the program was held in closed room. (Do police men go like this even in meetings held by fanatics ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
