Tanaji Malusare’s epithet was ‘Sinha (lion)’ : Invention of ICSE Board

Dissolve ICSE Board for teaching distorted history to children and hiding truth from them !

Mumbai : In a text book titled ‘Home School’ published by ‘Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE)’, it has been stated that Tanaji Malusare’s epithet was ‘Sinha’ and in his honour, the fort was given the name as ‘Sinhagad’. (Now the Board should be awarded prize for its new invention ! The Government must take action against the managing committee of this Board for perverting history; without any base of historical references ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

ICSE Board has started a project called as ‘Home School’ since few years all over the country; under which, a student can study at home till 9th standard and appear for 9th and 10th Board examination. Board recommends few books for such students and as per its recommendation; in a Marathi book published by ‘New Saraswati House India Pvt. Ltd.’ such new history has been published. On page 58 in 11th lesson of this book, there is information on Pune, as a historical city.

Other mistakes

1. Reference of ‘Kondhana’ fort, which is a fort built during Chhatrapati Shivaji’s regime, as ‘Kondana’.

2. In this book, meaning of the word ancient is given as historical.

3. There are many such mistakes as reported by parents and they are demanding that the Board should take note of the same.

Matter published in this book

“Tanaji Malusare was the Army Chief of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who attacked this fort in the year 1670. He was killed in that invasion. Tanaji’s nickname was ‘Sinha’. To honour him, the fort was named as ‘Sinhagad’. There is a monument built in his memory on this fort.” The above new information is given in this lesson.
‘Gad Aalaa Pan Sinha Gelaa (Fort was won but the lion was lost) !

Tanaji Malusare was one of the very brave ‘Sardars’ who had fought many wars for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shivaji Maharaj asked Tanaji Malusare to take responsibility of conquering Kondhana Fort for ‘Swarajya’. Tanaji immediately left on the mission although his son was to be married in few days. He said that Rayba (his son) would get married later but the mission was his first priority. He fought with valour against his enemies. Although he lost his shield, he took on all attacks on his left hand and only after eliminating Udaybhan, he breathed his last. In such tough fight, Tanaji had to sacrifice his life. Shivajiraje learnt about it when he reached Kondhana on the following day. He said at that time that the fort was won but his lion was lost and the name of the fort was changed from Kondana to Sinhgad.

Reality is that it is a conspiracy to keep away our future generation from becoming brave warriors !

Hindus are brave warriors. Hindus believe that every Hindu is like a lion. Even today, in some families, names of their children have ‘sinh’ in them. Tanaji Malusare was such brave warrior like a lion. It is a title given to him by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj but it is misinformed that it was his nickname. It is in fact, a systematic conspiracy hatched for keeping away future Hindu generations from becoming valiant and for Hindus to become spineless. Every Hindu should therefore, foil such conspiracy by fighting against the same, in lawful manner !
