Maharashtra Education Board’s anti-history decision !

Mumbai : In a text book for 4th standard (Area study part 2, English medium) published by  Maharashtra State Bureau of Textbook Production & Curriculum Research (Bal Bharati) Pune, 4 lessons have been removed from the book on Shiva Chhatrapati. Titles of the lessons are ‘Shivarayan che Sakshama Prashaasan’, ‘Shivarayanchi Yuddha-neeti’, ‘Janatecha Raja Shivaji’ and ‘Prerane chaa Jivant Strota’. Instead, lessons with titles ‘Kille and Naudal yanche Vyvasthapan’ and ‘Kalyankari Swarajyache Vyavasthapan’ have been included. (If new lessons on Chhatrapati’s history were to be included, where was the need to remove existing lessons? In the book published by Bal Bharati as history text book for 6th standard, Arunachal Pradesh has been shown as a part of China and many such mistakes have been committed. Now, people will have to take Bal Bharati to task for its irresponsible work and force them to include part of history of Chhatrapati that has now been removed from the text book. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

While giving information on slaying of Afzal Khan, picture of his embracing Shivaji Maharaj has been published; instead of Afzal Khan’s slaying. (It is not expected of BJP Government to commit similar mistakes as committed during Congress regime. Hindus expect that their children are taught true history. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
