Debit Card Denigrating Lord Ganesh

Ponda:It has been observed that the State Bank of India (SBI) has ridiculed Sri Ganesh in its advertisement of ‘ATM-Debit cards’. In the calendar ‘Kaal-Nirnay’ published in Marathi and English and popular all over the country, the said advertisement has been published. It has been recommended to celebrate Lord Ganesh’s arrival with the help of SBI’s ATM- Debit Card and in the picture of Sri Ganesh, in place of His eyes, the Debit Card has been shown. Some of the staunch Hindus brought this denigration of Sri Ganesh to the notice of members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. It has been appealed to all Ganesh devotees who are SBI’s cardholders, to register their protest by sending letter, email or over phone.
