HJS congratulate Shiv Sena leader for opposing mockery of Lord Ganesh

Mumbai :‘Inquilab’ a Urdu daily run by a Muslim owner had shown pictures of Lord Ganesh, most popularly revered deity of Hindus in a very outrageous manner in another evening newspaper Mid-Day. Shri. Arun Dudhvadkar, a Shiv Sena leader had taken out a march to the office of Mid-Day and asked for explanation from the managing committee that runs the paper. Consequently, on the following day, the said newspaper published its apology on the first page for desecrating Lord Ganesh. The delegation of HJS called on Shri. Dudhvadkar at his office and congratulated him. The delegation assured Shri. Dudhvadkar that he will always have support of HJS in such matters.

Shri. Dudhvadkar was then informed about the denigrating pictures of Hindu deities drawn by painter M. F. Hussain and the campaigns started against ‘Dharma-drohis’ in Solapur, Pune etc. Shri. Dudhvadkar said that there was a need for all social, political and spiritual organizations in Mumbai to come together.
