Belgaum (Karnataka): There is denigration of Lord Hanuman in the recently released film ‘Three Idiots’ enacted by actor Amir Khan. The members of Hindu Jnajagruti Samiti (HJS) explained the matter to managers of 3 theatres when they agreed to omit the objectionable portion in the film.

In a song picturised in the above film, Amir Khan has been shown in the attire of Lord Hanuman. The members of HJS from ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes held at Anandwadi learnt about it and they immediately visited the 3 theatres viz. ‘Chitra’, ‘Nucleaus Mall (Big Cinema’) and ‘Narteki’. They met the managers of the said theatres and explained to them about denigration of Deity taking place in the film. Mr. Sunil Pandit, Manager, Chitra Theatre, Mr. Anup of Nuclear Mall and Mr. Avinash Potdar of ‘Narteki’ theatre promptly called their staff and instructed them to omit the objectionable portion from the film. Mr. Ramakant Konduskar of Sriram Sena and Mr. Vijay Nandgadkar, Sudhir Herekar, Yashawant Rane etc. of HJS were present on the occasion.
