New strategy adopted by Christians for converting Hindus : Copying Hindus’ rituals in churches

1. Lamp is lit in temple and during festival, procession of Devi is taken out. Similarly, lamp is lit in church and picture of Jesus is kept on chariot to take out procession; also ornaments are put on him like Deities

Christians from Kerala are now keeping in their churches, a lamp-stand as kept in temples; but there is a ‘Cross’ on its top. They light lamp in church. Hindus take out procession of Deity during festivals; similarly, picture of Jesus is kept on a chariot with ornaments over it and procession is taken out. Particular type of crackers are burst in temples in Kerala; so even in church, crackers are burst.

2. Reciting thousand names of Jesus like ‘Vishnu Sahastra-naam’

‘Anna-daan (Food donated)’ in church during festival is called ‘Prasadam’ when ‘Prasadam’ is referred to ‘anna-daan’ made only in temples. Hindus ring bell when they go to temple; now even in church, bell is rung. Presently, recitation of thousand names of Jesus has started as Hindus recite ‘Vishnu-Sahastra-Naam’.

3. ‘Tulabharam’ ritual performed in temple by Hindus is copied even in churches

In one of the churches, ritual of ‘Tulabharam’ is also performed as done in temples by Hindus. In this ritual, a person, who prays to God to fulfill his certain wish, is made to sit in one side of scales and the other scale is filled with fruits or rice etc. equal to his weight; which is later offered to God.

4. Incidents of Christians copying Hindus’ rituals has gone up so much that now, it is noticed that they are referring to ‘Surya-namaskar’ as ‘Jesus-Namaskar’.
