Speaking to the media persons at this time Mr. Pranav Sharma, HJS coordinator for Indur said that ‘ There is practice of celebrating festivals like Deepavali, Dasara etc. by lighting fire crackers.  These festivals are based on religious and pious festivals.  As per Hindu religion we should worship and get blessings from Deities by celebrating the festivals e.g. obtaining blessing by worshipping Laxmi in Deepavali.  However it is observed that there is denigration of deities in advertisement drama, cinema, crackers etc. There are pictures of Laxmi, Krishna, Vishnu and National Leaders like Netaji Subashchandra Bose on crackers.  After bursting of crackers the pictures of Deities & National heroes are crushed into pieces and people walk on that, it comes under the wheels of vehicles and ultimately it is thrown in dustbin and gutters.  Thus there is denigration of our deities and insult of National leaders.  This is hurting religious sentiments of Hindus which is an offence as per Indian Penal Code act 295A. Also as per Indian Trade Mark Act 1999 Section 9 it should not contain any matter likely to hurt religious sentiments. He further said that the Govt. should ban these crackers immediately.’
