Belgaum : Vehicle rally to advertise for Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha

More than 200 devout Hindus participate in rally with 70 two-wheelers and 4 cars despite police creating obstacles and change route of the rally at the last moment

Belgaum : Prior permission was granted for taking out vehicle-rally to spread news about proposed Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha; still police asked to take out rally only on foot and made to even change the route of the rally. Thus, opposition to activities of Dharmajagruti is in fact, a deliberate attempt to create obstacle in the mission of establishment of Hindu Rashtra and Hindu Rashtra is the only solution to remove such obstacles, stated Shri. Manoj Khadye of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). HJS has planned Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha on Sunday, 13th March and vehicle rally was taken out on this occasion. The rally was concluded with a public meeting. Police asked to change the route of the rally at the last moment; still 70 two-wheelers, 4 cars and more than 200 devout Hindus took part in rally which was started from Barrister Nath Pai Marg after performing ‘puja’ of the ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ at the hands of Dr. Samir.  ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ was garlanded followed with breaking of coconut.

Non-cooperation by police !

The rally was to be started at 10.00 a.m. on 10th March and written permission was obtained from police on 9th March. Even then, just 15 minutes before start of the rally, police inspector of the concerned police station reached there to inform withdrawal of the permission for vehicle rally and advised to take out march on foot; that too, on the route as advised by him.

Few elected representatives and devout Hindu advocates who had gathered to support pro-Hindu activities therefore, contacted senior police officers and later, permission was granted again for two-wheelers-rally; however, on the changed route. Many Hindus could not participate in rally due to the last moment change in the route. The whole city resonated with slogans raised during the rally like ‘Har Har Mahadev’, ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharajancha Vijay Aso’, ‘Hindu Ekatecha Vijay Aso’ etc.

A police officer said, in private, that HJS has been creating awareness amongst people through medium of Dharmajagruti Sabhas since past 9 years and that too, in a disciplined and lawful manner; but he was helpless as he had to follow orders of his seniors.

Highlights

1. Rally was passing by Banashankari Temple in Vadgaon when it was showered with yellow flowers from a tree standing opposite this temple. Many devout Hindus felt that it was God’s blessings bestowed for activities related to Hindu Rashtra, through the flowers.

2. Lot of crowd gathered on both sides of the road; thus Hindu brethren registering their participation. Few children were responding to slogans from their house-terraces.

3. Few devout Hindus performed ‘puja’ of ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ in Kore Lane.
