Apology by ‘Tejaswi Bharat’ for publishing denigration of Lord Ganesh

Panvel : On the front page of a Hindi fortnightly ‘Tejaswi Bharat’, a picture of Sri Ganesh was published blowing a trumpet. A public apology has since been rendered by the fortnightly and it has also been informed that in the next issue of that periodical, they would publish their apology.

A news item on the above issue was published in the Dainik Sanatan Prabhat (DSP) dated 23rd August. Later many staunch Hindus called up the office of the fortnightly to protest against the picture. Shri. Madhuraj, the Executive Editor of the periodical told one of the agitators that they also worship Ganapati and would rectify their mistake. When Shri Sandip Vaity from DSP asked Shri. Shingote, the Editor of the biweekly, he too accepted the mistake and assured to render apology. Out of a few photographs of Sri Ganesh received by the office of the bi-weekly, it selected the photograph that raised controversy but the mistake has since been accepted by them.
