Sangli : Deputy DC calls for necessary measures to prevent malpractices on Valentine’s Day

Necessary measures should be taken by police to prevent wrong things happening on the occasion of Valentine Day !  – Instructions by Dy. District Collector

Sangli : Police should increase patrolling outside schools and colleges to stop wrong things happening on the occasion of Valentine Day and take necessary action, if required were the instructions given by Dy. District Collector (DDC) Shri. Trigun Kulkarni, to police department. A representation was submitted to him under the initiative of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demanding prevention of malpractices taking place in the name of celebration of Valentine Day. Shri. Kulkarni immediately called up police and gave necessary instructions in this connection. Shri. Haridas Kalidas and Shri. Sachin Pawar of Shri. Shivapratishthan; Shri. Shrikrushna Mali, a Trustee of Mali community and Shri. Dattatreya Retharekar of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti were present on the occasion. Another representation in the name of Shri. Mahesh Sharma, Central Cultural Minister for allowing Hindus to perform ‘puja’ at Shri Saraswati Mandir, (Bhojshala) by MP Government on 12th February, Vasant Panchami and regularly throughout the year, was also handed over to DDC.
