Akola (Maharashtra): An ordinary person like Manishankar Aiyar removed the name-plate of Swatantryaveer Savarkar from the jail of Andaman; but nobody bothered to teach him a lesson. When are Hindus going to wake up ? Savarkar’s bravery and his policy of ‘Tit for Tat’ is only going to help us and should be followed all over the country. The above forthright views were expressed by Himani Savarkar, the national president of Hindu Mahasabha here.

It will be 100 years in the year 2010 since the historic incident of Swa. Savarkar jumping off a ship in Marseilles Port. Himani Savarkar was speaking in a program held in this connection at Oak Hall. Mr. Chandrashekhar Gadgil, national president of All-India Hindu Sena presided over the function. Himanitai Savarkar said, “History of a nation is always written in blood and not in ink. Had Swa. Savarkar not been recaptured on Marseilles Port, we would have got freedom much earlier.” The program was attended by about 600 Hindus.
