‘If not like Shivaji Maharaj, be at least like his soldiers!’

Gathering to unite Hindus at Sambhajinagar

Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra): “If we want to preserve Hinduism and protect Dharma, it is necessary to stop attacks on Dharma carried out by followers of other religions. Everyone feels that we need Shivaji Maharaj for protection of Dharma but he should not be born in our own family. It is the need of the hour to unite for creating awareness among Hindus towards their Dharma; therefore, if not like Shivaji Maharaj, let us at least be like his army-men (Mawlas).” The above earnest appeal was made by HBP. Narayan Maharaj Jadhav at Sambhajinagar. He was addressing Hindus in a meeting organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Vani Mangal Karyalaya in Shivajinagar.

The meeting began with performing ritualistic worship of pictures of deities and lighting of lamp. In his guidance, Maharaj touched upon many issues like importance of spiritual practice, need for inculcating Dharma-sanskar in children, attacks on Hindu Dharma, indifferent Hindus leading to dismal condition of Dharma and remedies for the same.

Shri. Rhushikesh Dewadikar, the coordinator of HJS made the audience aware about attack on Mumbai, killing of Hindus in Kashmir, indecent and nude paintings by M F Husain of Hindu deities and a VCD on these topics was also shown.

The program was coordinated by Shri. Sunil Dev with advocate, Charudatta Joshi explaining the purpose of holding such program and activities of HJS. The gathering was attended by Shri. Vinod Sonawane, municipal councilor of Shivajinagar among others. About 200 Hindus attended the gathering.

Feedbacks

  • Shri. Shankar Jadhav – We have to refer the city as Sambhajinagar only. Everyday, one should apply ‘gandha’ and ‘tila’ before leaving the house.
  • A devout Hindu – This government opposes singing of ‘Vande Mataram’; TV channels seem to have taken up a drive of accusing saints. Hindus have to unite if such things are to be stopped. How will these Muslims then dare to tease Hindu women?
