HJS starts its Activities in Guntur (Andhra Pradesh)

HJS started its activities in Guntur City of Andhra Pradesh with the blessings of H.H. Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Shankaracharya Shri Jayendra Saraswati Swamiji. HJS members took blessings of Acharya at Guntur recently at Shri Venkateshwar temple, Brundavan gardens, Guntur. Acharya was addressing a crowd of more than 1000 people on the importance of Dharma. At the end of His speech Swamiji said that HJS and Sanatan Sanstha activists have come here today. Both these organisations are doing activities related to Dharma and Rashtra, hence I appeal to the Guntur public to help them in their activities and take part actively.

Shri. Nageshwara Rao, local trustee of Kanchi Kamakoti peetam was directed by Acharya to help HJS in all the ways possible to start the activities. Immediately after Acharya's speech many dignitaries and Dharmabhimani Hindus were approached and given information related to HJS activities. There was a positive response from all of them.

 

 

 

Background :

At the Dharmasabha held in Vijayawada one Dharmabhimani Shri. K.V.V.L Rao from Guntur had participated. After meeting HJS members at the Sabha venue he said that he would help HJS start its activities in Guntur since he thought that HJS could make a difference. Soon after the sabha Shri. Rao arranged contacts in Guntur and stay arrangements for HJS activists.

 

 

About Guntur :

Guntur which is one of the major city in Andhra Pradesh is also a commercial hub. Recently the city has seen a large increase in conversion activities. Many of the Christian Missionaries in Andhra have their Activity headquarters in Guntur. Recently the Bible Convention held in Guntur had large number of visitors from all-over Andhra Pradesh. Conversion activities in Rural areas and among the dalit people are increasing day-by-day. The british rule has had a major impact on Guntur city.

First Meeting of Dharmabhimanis by HJS: With the help of like minded people and The Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam trust HJS arranged First meeting for Dharmabhimanis at The Shree Venkateshwara swamy temple Kalyana Mandapam in Brundavan Gardens at Guntur on 25th May 2009. More than 35 Dharmabhimanis from different organisations and realm of life participated. Brahmachari Anshuman Chaitanya of Chinmaya Mission, Representatives of Samskruta Bharati, Acharyas of ISKCON, Workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, RSS, District convenor and City convenors of Hindu Devalaya Parirakshana Samiti, Trustees of Temples and some noted persons from Guntur city participated.

Leading Dailies like Andhra Bhoomi, Eenaadu, Surya, Andhra Jyothi and Saakshi gave news coverage of the meeting.

 

 

Good Response for Dharmashikshan Flex :

The Dharmashikshan Flex which were displayed at the first meeting saw a good response. Dharmabhimani Shri. Desu Shridhar immediately sponsored 5 Flex. One dharmabhimani who is also a Cotton exporter sponsored 50 flex to be put up in temples in Guntur city. The Kanchi Kamakoti peetham has given permission to put flex in all the 6 temples owned by the trust in Guntur.

Swami Anshuman Chaitanya Paying Tribute to Jhansi Rani

HJS celebrated Jhansi Rani Laxmi bai Smruti Din on 30th may 2009 at Shri Mohana Ranganayakulu Temple, Arundelpet, Guntur. Brahmachari Anshuman Chaitanya of Chinmaya Mission payed tributes to Jhansi Rani Laxmi Bai and Shri. Chetan Janardan of HJS spoke about the life of the Brave Rani. More than 25 Dharmabhimanis were present on this ocassion. Shri. Chetan further said that we have to take an example from Jhansi Rani and develop Kshatruvrutti in us. At present Hindus are facing troubles from all corners, it is high time Hindus unite and Fight against the atrocities on them.
