HJS holds meeting with ‘Keertankar’ and ‘Pravachankar’

Jyeshtha Shuddha Dwitiya

Create awareness among people about denigration of deities and ‘Dharmacharan’ through keertans

Panvel (Maharashtra): ‘Keertankars’ and ‘pravachankars’ are always in contact with people. Keeping that in mind, it was decided in a meeting held by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) with ‘keertankars’ and ‘pravachankars’ to create strong awareness among Hindus towards denigration of deities, attacks on Dharma and following the path as prescribed by Dharma (Dharmacharan). The meeting was held at Sanatan Sanstha’s ashram at Devad, Panvel and was attended by about 50 keertankars and pravachankars. In the beginning of the meeting, Shri. Shriram Kane presented review of two ‘Dharma-peetha sessions’ conducted earlier.

The meeting was attended by Sanatan’s saint H. H. Parashuram Pande Maharaj, H.B.P. Anant Karle, Dhanaji Maharaj Patil, district-president of Maharashtra Warakari Mandal, Raigad District, H.B.P. Ram Karle, H.B.P. Vilas Maharaj, H.B.P. Pandurang Mhaskar, H.B.P. Ramchandra Shinde, H.B.P. Shrikant Rasal, H.B.P. Ramkrushna Maharaj, H.B.P. Natha Sudam Patil, H.B.P. Vithoba Patil, H.B.P. Atmaram Patil, H.B.P. Bhagawan Shelake, HBP, Suresh Maharaj Patil, H.B.P. Ankush Bhangari, H.B.P. Dada Maharaj Shivkar, H.B.P. Chandrahas Gawand, Shri. Ganu Phadake, Swadhyaya Parivaar, Sukapur, advocates Shri. Vishwas Bhide, Shivaji Bhase, Shri. Bapu Raokar of HJS and Shri. Abhay Vartak of Sanatan Sanstha.

Shri. Ganu Phadake said, “It was very painful to see indecent paintings by anti-Hindu painter M F Husain of Hindu deities as it was an attack on Hindu Dharma. Thereafter, in every discourse, I started telling devotees about such attacks on Hindu Dharma. I have shown people the drawings of Husain. I have also told people about Sanatan Ashram and 2-3 persons have shown interest in visiting the ashram.” HBP. Karle Maharaj said, “Hindus must not feel embarrassed to follow their customs and rituals. When a Hindu dresses like a Hindu, he derives spiritual as also financial benefits. Hindus wearing ‘pant’ can not be said as following his culture.”

Adv. Vishwas Bhide said, “Hindus will first complain to police even if a program is going on of singing devotional songs. Police department, then, has to take action. But Hindus keep quiet if a ‘Quawwali’ program is going on. Despite billions of Hindus living in this country, only Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti have lodged maximum complaints against anti-Hindu painter M F Husain. There is need to propagate Hindu Dharma in a very effective manner. We need to raise voice against text books set by NCERT for teaching distorted history.”

H. H. Pande Maharaj said, “Deities will definitely help us. We should, therefore, cooperate with each other and try to achieve spiritual progress. The ‘Sattva’ component increases with purification by following the path of Truth and it is our Dharma to increase ‘Sattva’ component in us. You offer yourself fully and stop independent existence. Our mental strength increases with increase in the quality of fearlessness in us. Sanatan writes fearlessly. We must develop the power to awaken ‘kundalini’.”
