Many Shiv sainiks gathered at Tawade Hotel in the morning from where they went to the highway raising slogans. They blocked the highway for about half an hour. They were shouting slogans hailing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, condemning Central Government for insulting Chhatrapati Shivaji Majaraj and demanding ban on NCERT’s History text book.

Shri. Raju Yadav addressed the demonstrators. He said, “Curriculum set by NCERT has always been controversial. The institution has tried to depict revolutionaries as terrorists and prove greatness of Mughal Rulers. If Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had not established Hindvi Swaraj, even we would have had to adopt Islam.”

S/Shri. Sambhaji Salunkhe, zonal-chief of Bajarang Dal, Madhukar Nazare of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) also participated in the agitations. Large police force was deployed to maintain law and order.
