Demand to withdraw NCERT text books

Chaitra Shuddha Dwadashi

Tasgaon (Maharashtra): Sree Ramdev Trust from Tasgaon started their diamond jubilee celebrations of Sreerama Navami festival right from Gudi Padva. Various programs like singing devotional songs, discourses, keertans, rallies etc. were arranged during the festival. The festival ended with a keertan program held at the time of birth of Lord Rama. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) collected signatures for their campaign against NCERT History text book as there is distortion of history in the book. HJS has demanded withdrawal of the book from the curriculum. 350 Hindus signed the representation of their own accord.

Pujya Makarandbuva Sumant said in his ‘keertan’ that the Government should explain as to why the words ‘Hey Ram’ are written on the memorial of Gandhiji when it does not accept the existence of Sree Rama. He also said that government that will look after the interests of Hindus should be elected at the Centre.

Highlights

  • Shri. Vilas Shinde took initiative to obtain signatures of 100 Hindus. (A person like Shri. Shinde is the true strength of Hindu Dharma! – Editor).
  • Shri. Ganesh Chavan, a devout Hindu asked for ‘flex’ banners of HJS on ‘Dharma-training’
  •  An exhibition of Sanatan’s books and other ‘sattvik’ products was also put up.
