Baramati (Maharashtra): Devout Hindus submitted a representation to Shri. Katkar, the Tehsildar against distorted history taught through the History text book set by NCERT for 7th Standard. In this History book, out of total 154 pages, most of the pages are devoted to Mughal invasions and details of Muslim Rulers whereas details of brave fight put up by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj to establish Hindvi Swaraj are given only in few lines. This has hurt feelings of devout Hindus and the representation demands ban on this book.

Shri. Sangram Jachak and Dnyaneshwar Mane of Shiv-Pratishthan, Baramati, its other members from Burhanpur and Malegaon, Shri. Yogesh Vhanmare and Shri. Chandrakant Dixit of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Mrs. Alka Vhanmare of Sanatan Sanstha were present while submitting the representation along with 30 devout Hindus.
