Police are trying to repress the rights given by constitution. – Editor
Madhya Pradesh: HJS members are campaigning for the Dharmajagruti Sabha in Indore using loud speakers. HJS members got the permission from the district collector for using the loud speaker on the back ground of electoral code of conduct.
On 1st November 2008 while returning from the Dharmajagruti Sabha campaign one police came chasing to the place where activists were accumulated. He contacted to his higher authorities and asked the members to come to the police station. The police intimidate to cancel the permission even after the HJS member showed him the permission letter. (Does police are now started thinking that they own this country? They are there to help people not to pressurize them. – Editor) Here is the dialogue between the police and the HJS worker.
HJS worker: Why you are still unhappy, even after showing this permission letter?
Police officer: Have you submitted letter asking for the permission in the near by police station. How would we know that whether you have got the permission or not? We have got a call complaining about you, that you are making provoking statements. Do not make any statement like ‘Hindus are being targeted.’ (How can police stop anyone to tell the truth? This is attack on the constitutional rights given to the people of Bharat (India) by the constitution-Editor)
Don’t say anything about conversion and terrorism. Even I am a Hindu, I also have feelings for our religion but we have to follow the law. We gave you the permission because your program was pre decided. We request you not to do such things, that we may have to cancel the permission for the Dharmasabha. Do not make any provocative statements; we are going to do video shooting of your event. Do not say anything about the injustice happening with Hindus otherwise we will put you people behind bars. (Muslims are talking anything about Kafirs (those who don’t believe in Allah) in mosques, but police have not yet dared to do video shooting of such speeches or have not taken any action against them- Editor) When the activists told the police that they didn’t have to face any problem in Maharashtra while organizing Dharmasabha. It’s because there elections are not happening the police officer replied.
