Exhibition on Shivaji Maharaj by FACT in Bangalore

FACT has just completed the path-breaking exhibition "Naxalism, a threat to the Unified Nation of India", at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The exhibition is one of its kind and for the first time screened in India. It will now travel to Bihar, Chattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh.

Upcomming Exhibitions:

The next leg of the exhibition "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, A Hero for Modern India" will be in Bangalore, on 26th September 2008, at Gallery G, 38 Maini Sadan 7th Lavelle cross road, Bangalore 560001. Tel 22219275. This is a miniature paintings exhibition, which met withs a huge success in Mumbai last February.

• FACT has commissioned a new project on "Ahilyabai Holkar, the Warrior Queen", which will be inaugurated in Mumbai next year.
• FACT has instituted an annual FACT-Shivaji award, (One lakh rupees cash prize and citation) which was given this year to Captain Bana Singh, the "Hero of Kargil".
• FACT is also setting up a FACT-Ahilyabai Award for Women, which shall be offered every year to a contemporary woman incarnating the values of Ahilyabai.
• FACT is retrieving the exhibition "Aurangzeb as he was according to the Moghul records", which was damaged by Chennai Police and which we plan to show in Aurangadabad.
• FACT also is on the verge of getting a piece of  land in Pune and will soon start the Hindu Holocaust Museum.

FACT now has 7 exhibitions, a blend of History, Art and Human rights awareness. There has been a lot of effort and expertise that has gone into the making of these exhibitions. To create awareness in India and abroad we have a detailed plan and are also looking for partners to showcase Indian History.

FACT would like to send theses exhibitions next month abroad and Veeren Chawdury, FACT`s permanent representative, would be travelling to the US and Canada to prepare the ground for hosting these exhibitions which we can plan for next year. FACT would like to have partners for screening these exhibitions. I will then come to inaugurate them and do a round of conferences.
