Petition for Formation of United Hindu Dharma Samsthan (UHDS)

To:

Sri Satya Sai Baba, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Ma Amritanand Mayi, Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamiji, Swami Ramdev, Gurumayi of Ganeshpuri, Sri Swamy Dayaananda Saraswathi (Arsha Gurukulam), Gurujis of Chinmaya Mission, Sri Ganapathi Sacchidananda Swamiji, Pramukh Swaminarayan (BAPS), Sadhvi Ritambara, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, Swami Chidanand Saraswathi Maharaj (Muniji), Gurus of ISKCON, Swamis of Ramakrishna Mission and to all great Mathadhipathis, Mahamandaleswars, Dharmaacharyas, Saints, Gurujis and Swamijis of various sampradayas of Hindu dharma and their devotees and disciples:

Great Gurus and Swamis, we bow down to all of you for your wisdom as acharyas and seek your guidance and blessings. You are sthitaprajna and beyond the pale of human frailties. This is a small offering of guru rinam which we are sure you will consider with compassion. This petition is to bring in those great Acharyas and Swamis who have not joined in Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha and to unite all for the formation of UHDS.

India is under siege today by many forces, and many people do not even realize the gravity of the situation. The enemies of India are networked effectively bonded by their common animosity towards Hinduism. While Pujya Swamy Sankarachrya of Kanchi Peetham was incarcerated and humiliated, the entire English and Tamil media went celebrating while concocting fraudulent stories. When pujya Swami Ramdev is blatantly attacked by Brinda Karat, and Pujya Satya Sai Baba tarnished with unfounded accusations, the same media was in glee. One by one, each of you might be targeted by the "secularist" elite. If one swamiji is attacked it must be treated as an attack on all of you. If Aksharadham or Ayodhya is sprayed with bullets and grenades, it is an all out attack on entire Hindu Samajam. Hindu Acharyas should speak with one united voice. The Hindu dharma is crying for help.

Modern versions of Duryodhana and Duhs’asana are conversionism and terrorism with their onslaughts to besiege Bharat. Mass Christian conversions and the covert/overt support it receives from "secular" political parties and media is very alarming. Marxists hate everything that is sacred and beautiful in the Hindu heritage of our civilization. In the guise of neo-liberalism, globalization has become the present-day mantra and westernization is eating at the very roots of Hindu society (even small boys and girls are forced to wear neck ties in schools).

Inimical forces have taken control of the media, Bollywood, and political parties. The intellectuals of India and our politicians need your guidance to get out of the false glorification of Western ways of life and money as the measure of success. They have to be brought back to their age-old beautiful traditions of simple life and seva to the poor.

The enemy is more dangerous because the methods used are highly sophisticated and there is an invisible network of apparently divergent groups but united in undermining the Hindu samaajam.

We urgently need your combined leadership and guidance to unite all Indians against the enemy, for instances of disunity in our history, have resulted in weakening the national fabric and resolve. Whatever enemy subjugated the nation, did it not because of their superior strength, but because they were helped by Hindus who did not realize the nature of the intolerant faiths who were governed by adharma.

The Christians have a Pope and their book, the Muslims the word of the Koran, the communists have Das Kapital of Karl Marx, but Hindus are fragmented in a thousand pantha-s often forgetting "Ekam sat, Vipra-h bahudha vadanti" and that while pantha-s may differ, Dharma is one. Even Gautama the Buddha talked of esha dhammo sanantano making Bauddha a continuum of Hindu dharma.

The yuga dharma has to dictate the responses of the Hindu. We dream of a day when the Hindu gurus and swamis unite under one umbrella to protect Dharma. Time has come, now or perhaps never. Each group and guru will retain their leadership and autonomy of the pantha-s or matam-s but will meet periodically, at least three times a year to review the situation and issue dharma proclamations and edicts, much like Ashoka’s s’aasanas. Such proclamations will be firm guidelines for dharmic action for hundreds of millions of Hindus all over the world, coming as they do from the voice of the great gurus speaking with a unity of purpose — Dharma rakshana. Great Gurujis and swamijis, millions of Hindus world-over revere your leadership and bow to you.

The coordination of UHDS by (Pramukh dharmaacharya) will be rotated every year and so can Membership. Even if ten of you, great swamis, come under one banner and one platform (United Hindu Dharma Samsthan), the entire India will change for the better.

We are signing this very important petition addressed to you because you have taken to sanyaasa, sacrificing your worldly pleasures — in the parampara of rishis and munis of Hindu civilization of Sanatana Dharma.

We are signing this petition and appealing to our gurus and swamijis because, as we have learnt from you, only Sanatana Dharma can offer a sustainable world order without perpetuating clashes in the name of faiths. We hope our voices will reach all of you and we can look forward to your continued guidance from United Hindu Dharma Samsthan, in these troubled times.

We bow down to you again and again.
