Successful protest against Nude Paintings of Lord Shiva

Goa: Eric Reynolds of U.S.A had made two pictures of Lord Shiva namely ‘Nude Black Shiva illo’ and ‘George Clinton as Shiva illo’ which were denigrating and put up on his website (http://www.comicartcollective.com/reynolds) .They were brought to the notice of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti by a proud Hindu. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti wrote to Mr. Eric Reynolds over a period of 5 weeks (i.e. 05-04-2006 to 10-04-2006) and followed up the matter till Mr. Eric Reynolds was convinced and voluntarily removed the pictures. The matter was also referred to Ruth Bennett, Acting Public Affairs Officer, ‘Indian Embassy’ In America and ‘American Embassy’ in India for attention and intervention.
