HJS provides guidance on Dharmacharan in a program at Kerala

Thoppumpady (Kerala) : Sou. Salini Suresh of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti provided guidance on Dharmacharan (abiding by Dharma) recently at a residence at Thoppumpady in Kochi, Kerala. She said that Dharmacharan is the way to a blissful life and also provided examples of how it can be followed in daily life. In addition to it, the importance of chanting God’s Name and how it should be done were also explained.

Vishu, the festival that all of Kerala celebrates falls on April 15th. The science behind the celebration was also explained. During Vishu, a ritual where certain items indicating prosperity are placed before the idol of ShriKrushna and then they are viewed early on the day of Vishu. The spiritual science behind these items was explained. 

In addition to this, she also said that Akshay Trutiya has become a commercial festival, wherein people rush to buy ornaments on the day. Instead, on the day of Akshay Trutiya importance is to be given to ‘giving donations to the worthy’ (Satpatra danam), instead of buying new ornaments. The science behind the same was explained.

Around 25 people attended the session and they asked for more sessions in future too.
