Shri Shiva-jyot procession taken out with lot of pomp and show !
Ghatkopar, Mumbai – ‘Swarajya Yuva Pratishthan (Pratishthan)’ from Bhatwadi, Ghatkopar celebrated Shiva-jayanti with lot of pomp and show. It was for the third year that the ‘Shiva-jyot’ was brought left from Shivneri to Bhatwadi; reaching in the evening of 7th March and it was welcomed with great jubilation. On 8th March, the ‘Shiva-jyot’ was taken in a procession throughout South- East and Central Mumbai. The procession was started with ‘pujan’ of ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ and ‘Shiva-jyot’. More than 150 two-wheelers, 10 auto-rickshaws and five 4-wheelers joined the procession, besides 10 ‘Dabbawalas’ on their cycles. The ‘Pratishthan’ had organized an exhibition devised by FACT on displaced Kashmiri Hindus. This ‘Pratishthan’ always takes guidance from Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) before undertaking various drives or staging movements.
Shiva-Malhar Pratishthan organizes exhibition on revolutionaries
Ghatkopar – It was the first year of ‘Shiva-Malhar Pratishthan’ from Sainath Nagar celebrating Shiva-jayanti. An exhibition prepared by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti based on life-history of revolutionaries was organized by this ‘Pratishthan’.
More than 25 festival committees jointly take out procession
Ghatkopar – More than 25 festival committees joined to take out huge Shiva-jayanti procession through ‘Nityananda Nagar Hindu Yuva Manch’. Hindus have now come together due to incidents of attack occurring in past two months. More than 1000 women and youth participated in the procession.
Lecture by HJS
Mumbai – ‘Sankalp Siddhi Sangh’ from Sangharshanagar had organized elocution and drawing competitions based on life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. A lecture by Shri. Narendra Surve of HJS was also held. One of the judges of elocution competition was Sou. Prajakta Sawant of HJS. Shri. Nitin Latake of ‘Sankalp Siddhi’ said that Hindus should be saved, they should unite and only HJS has been really working towards these goals. This ‘Mandal’ had also organized an exhibition on life-history of revolutionaries.
Bhatwadi – It was the second year of ‘Ashirwad Yuvak Seva Mandal’ organizing a huge procession and it was joined by hundreds of Hindus.

Nalasopara (West) – The statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj near Zilha Parishada’s school was garlanded on the day of Shiva-jayanti in the presence of Sou. Shraddha Rane, municipal councilor of Shiv Sena, former municipal councilors Shri. Harshad Raut and Shri. Pravin Mhapralkar, Shiv Sena’s office bearers and large number of Hindutva-vadis. Shri. Sumit Sagavekar of HJS said while explaining importance of life of Chhatrapati Shivaraya that it was necessary to read and follow ‘Shiva-charitra’ in today’s modern times. In fact, we should follow every act of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for prevention of attacks on Dharma like denigration of Hindus’ Deities, love jihad and cow-slaughter etc.
