Representation for preventing malpractices on ‘Valentine Day’

Devoutees submitting the representation

Amravati (Maharashtra) : The commercialization and exhibition of love held by western countries in the name of Valentine Day celebrated on 14th February is taking the young generation to immorality and hedonism. The country is on the brink of terrorism and we need youth who love their motherland.

There is also no need for us to celebrate such useless ‘Days’ emulating western countries when our great culture teaches us to treat the world as a big family.

The Government administration should therefore, take necessary steps to prevent wrong things happening in the name of Valentine Day at colleges, gardens and other public places, was the request made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through a representation submitted to the District Collector Tejusingh Pawar on 11th February. Sou. Pallavi Hambarde, Shri. Sanjay Chaudhary of HJS and Shri. Girish Komerwar of Sanatan Sanstha were present on the occasion.
