Bajrang Dal stops the act of cattle slaughter

Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra): Early on Tuesday morning the Bajrang Dal stopped a truck full of oxen which were being taken for slaughter, at Kurla. Mahamad Sabir Shaikh and Abdul Hamid Kureshi were arrested by the police for illegal trafficking of animals.

The Bajrang Dal volunteers had received a tip off that these animals would be smuggled from here through a side road. Accordingly they had kept a team of volunteers to keep a watch on such vehicles loaded with animals. When the truck arrived at the Mahape toll booth for inspection the Bajrang Dal volunteers detained it and handed it over the police. Twenty-two oxen, small and large were accommodated in this truck. Shri. Uddhav Kharade worker of the Bharatiya Govansh Rakshan Parishad said, "We shall not allow a single animal from Mumbai to be slaughtered. And if anyone dares to do so then with the help of the police we shall take him to task."

(We congratulate the Bajrang Dal workers who attempted to stop the illegal trafficking of cattle which are like deities to Hindus. If Bajrang dal workers can receive a tip off on this why can the police not receive it? Of what use is such police machinery? If the public has to do the job of the police then why do we require the police at all? We also applaud Shri. Uddhav Kharade who has made a resolve to protect cattle from slaughter. – Editor)
