After lapse of four months, complaint lodged at Vasco against Hussain has been submitted to Investigation Bureau

The complaint filed by staunch Hindus against Hussain on 11th January 2006 with the Vasco police for drawing denigrating paintings of Hindu deities has been transferred to the Investigation Bureau on April 21after lapse of 4 months. It may be mentioned that although the staunch Hindus were promised by the police that a case will be registered against Hussain, it has not been done so far. 115 devotees from Vasco filed a complaint against Hussain with the Superintendent of Police. Considering the complete disregard by the police in the matter, the staunch Hindus planned to hold a protest rally in the month of March to create awareness among people. On 5th March, however, the police intervened and made a promise to take action against Hussain within 15 days and requested to cancel the protest rally in the presence of Deputy District Collector of Murgaon. But no action was taken and a reminder letter was sent to the Dy. SP. Finally on 21st April, Shri Dinraj Govekar, the SP informed the complainants that the complaint has been transferred to the Investigation Bureau.
