Mumbai High Court orders M F Hussain to file an affidavit

Anti-Hindu painter M F Hussain has hurt feelings of Hindus by drawing obscene paintings of Hindu deities. In this context, four staunch Hindus filed a petition in High Court for taking action against Hussain. The matter came for hearing before Justice Dhananjay Deshpande and Justice Tahil Ramani when D. G. associates fought the case on behalf of Hussain. Hussain’s advocates asked that if they tender an apology whether he will be pardoned. Advocate Talkute fighting the case on behalf of the appellants took objection and dismissed the demand. In the end, Hussain’s pleaders have been asked by the Mumbai High Court to file an affidavit by 12th June 2006. The next date of hearing is 12th June 2006.
