Jaisinghpur police avoid filing of complaint against Karunanidhi!

Jaisinghpur (Kolhapur): Tamil Nadu CM Shri. Karunanidhi has hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus by passing derogatory comments about Lord Sree Ram, a widely worshipped deity of Hindus. Some devout Hindus of Jaisinghpur had gone to the Jaisinghpur City Police Station to file a complaint against Shri. Karunanidhi. (Congratulations to the devout Hindus of Jaisinghpur for filing a complaint against Shri. Karunanidhi for hurting of religious sentiments! Hindus all over should follow suit! – Editor) At this time, the police tried to avoid filing a complaint. (Would the police act in this manner if the religious sentiments of Muslims were hurt? Hindus get to experience such biased behaviour from the police in all situations. Why should Hindus maintain such police by paying taxes! – Editor). At this time, the devout Hindus argued with the police convincingly and the police accepted their complaint and gave an acknowledgement. The police also assured to inform the devout Hindus with regard to the future course of action of the complaint in 8 days time. (Devout Hindus like those of Jaisinghpur who convinced and compelled the police to accept their complaint should exist everywhere! – Editor). Devout Hindus Shri. Jitendra Rathi, Ramesh Yalgudkar, Narayan Lokhande and Sanjay Vaidya have filed this complaint.
Shri. Rajkumar Shinde, Assistant Police Inspector of the Jaisinghpur Police Station refused to file the F.I.R. He said, "No police station files such a complaint. (The law empowers every individual to file a complaint in any police station. Such inefficient police are misguiding the public by telling lies! – Editor). The media goes on publicizing such issues. It is essential to detect their credentials." (Detecting credentials is the duty of the police. That is the purpose why the complainant approaches them. Also, crores of citizens have witnessed the derogatory comments passed by Shri. Karunanidhi on T.V. and printed in the newspapers. In such a situation, what other proof does the Police Department want? – Editor)

At this time, Mrs. Gauri Khilare of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said, ‘The law has given freedom to every citizen to file a complaint for hurting of religious sentiments at the place of his residence. Thus, it is not necessary that the complaint be filed at Tamil Nadu. Complaints have been filed against painter M.F. Hussain at various places all over the nation.’

To this, Shri. Shinde said that he would look into the matter and inform the complainants. Mrs. Khilare asked him when would he inform? To this, he replied, ‘in 8 days time’. After this, the police accepted the complaint and gave an acknowledgement. At this time, Shri. Ramprasad Parikh and Shri. Mohanrao Kulkarni of BJP; Shri. Lakshman Patil, Kolhapur District President of Sree Sampradaay; Shri. Mukund Pujari and Mrs. Lakshmi Devgade of RSS; Shri. Gajadhar Mandhana and Shri. Madhav Apte of Lions Club; Shri. Anant Kulkarni and Shri. Pradeep Kulkarni of HJS; Shri. Shankar Khude of Sanatan Sanstha and other devout Hindus were present. (One can only imagine the kind of treatment the Police Department must be giving the common public when it is avoiding to register a complaint filed by reputed and influential devout citizens! What action are the concerned senior police officers going to take in this case? – Editor)
