Pune (Maharashtra): Shri. Milind Ekbote, the President of Pratapgad Utsav Samiti was recently conferred ‘Sant Sena Maharaj’ award on behalf of Naabhik Samaj from Bhor (Pune). The award was presented by Shri. Pandharinath Maharaj Garje, keertankar in the presence of S/Shri. Dilip Bathe, Vinayakrao Sanas, Mansingh Baba Dhumal and other eminent personalities.
Shri. Ekbote said that conferment of the ‘Sant Sena Maharaj’ award was like acquiring blessings from Sant Sena Maharaj for the members of Pratapgad Utsav Samiti for their struggle to construct Jiva Mahale Memorial and the imprisonment these Shiva-devotees had to go through in that context. He said, “This is not my felicitation but felicitation of the Pratapgad Utsav Samiti. It was the truth that only because of Jiva Mahale’s presence on the fort, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was saved. It is very unfortunate that on the fort, there is a tomb of Sayyad Banda but no memorial of Jiva Mahale.”
