Mumbai (Maharashtra): Dr. S. Kalyan Raman, the President of ‘Ramsetu Raksha Manch’ expressed his doubt about the outcome of the case on ‘Setusamudram’ project presently fought in the court.  He was not very hopeful since the Court is not prepared to listen to reasoning presented in favour of Dharma. (This is the condition of Hindu Dharma in a country where Hindus are in majority. – Editor)

Dr. Raman explained with the help of pictures shown on a ‘projector’ why it is necessary to safeguard ‘Ram-setu’ as it would be beneficial from not only religious but also cultural, economical and environmental point of view. He said, “Ram-setu represents the feet of Bharatmata. Lord Sree Rama was an ideal son, warrior, husband, brother and a king. Therefore, ‘Ram-setu’ has religious significance. All Hindus should unite to protect it. Every incident in Ramayana is an instance of ideal moral values. It needs to be taught in schools. He showed proofs of ‘ram-setu’ being man-made. Archeology Department of the Indian Government has sculptures belonging to 9th and 10th centuries in which there are sculptures depicting Seeta – Hanuman meeting, army of monkeys throwing boulders in sea to construct ‘Ram-setu’ etc. If ‘Ram-setu’ is demolished, the Arabian Sea would come under international control resulting in danger to national security. (All political parties are expert in subjecting our nation to insecurity rather than taking care to protect it. People should now revolt to drive away such politicians. – Editor) The terrorists outfit ‘LTTE’ would also start its activities through the water passage. There is stock of 33% of Thorium in the Southern coast of India which is useful for generating atomic energy. The cost of 1 kg of Thorium is Rs. 1 crore. If the ‘setu’ is demolished, the stock will flow away and it would be a great financial loss to the country.”
