Thane (Maharashtra): Photo-exhibition on atrocities on Hindus and truth about terrorism in Kashmir and Bangladesh has been organized at Lakshmi Keshav Karyalaya in Kolbad from 31st August to 2nd September 2007. The exhibition is receiving a great response from people. Many eminent personalities from Hindu organizations and parties paid a visit to the exhibition and expressed their views on impotent rulers, some of which are given below.

Shri. Anil More, Dharma-raksha Chief, Thane district, Bajarang Dal : The Government and police machinery have been deliberately ignoring the incidents of ‘jihadi’ terrorism and Hindu slaughters and avoiding taking firm action against the concerned. Whereas police are trying to oppose activities of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) under the pretext of maintenance of law and order although HJS is trying to put forth before people the true situation.

Shri. Sandip Lele, General Secretary, BJP Thane city and district: HJS has undertaken a very significant task of creating awareness among Hindus. It is the task of preparing able soldiers for striking at the right time. As per the advice of Sree Krushna in Mahabharata, there will be incarnation of God whenever there is obliteration of Righteousness. At such time, the army will be of help. It is therefore, our goal to increase this army.

Shri. Sachin Alashi, General Secretary, Naupada Mandal, BJP: Every Hindu is moved to see this exhibition. Rulers with pro-Muslim policies should be tortured; only then would they change.

Reactions by other citizens

  1.  Shri. Mayur Kunte, Thane: Such exhibitions will help to create awareness among people. We should try to take the exhibition to maximum number of people. I am ready to help HJS in whatever way they want and I’ll also tell my colleagues to see this exhibition.
  2. Shri. Yuvaraj Mohite, Thane: Every Hindu in this country must unite and fight against terrorism. We are no longer safe in our own country. I will meet my Hindu friends and relatives and make them aware towards these issues and appeal to them to be united.

Highlights

  • People visiting the exhibition were enraged to see the photographs and showed interest to actively take part in such activities.
  • Shri. Vasant Kadu, the security guard of the hall was appealing to passers by to visit the exhibition and also praying with members of HJS at intervals. He was ever ready to help.
  • Visitors were also taking benefit of Sanatan Sanstha’s various products exhibited at the venue.

FACT Photo-exhibition on terrorism in Thane

September 2, 2007

Thane (Maharashtra): Condition of Hindus is very wretched in Kashmir and Bangladesh. Minorities are oppressing Hindus and their very existence is in danger. It is impossible for Hindus to stay in Kashmir. In this background, the photo-exhibition showing the reality in Kashmir has been organized at Lakshmi Keshav Mangal Karyalaya, opposite Pratap Cinema Hall in Thane from 31st August to 2nd September 2007 between 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Eknath Maharaj Sadgir, keertankar and the President of Konkan Zone of VHP in the presence of Shri. Sanjay Kelkar, BJP MLA, Shri. Ashok Bhoir, Dy. Mayor and Dr. Durgesh Samant, the all-India spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). Mrs. Manisha Kshirsagar, a member of HJS gave a brief account of HJS activities and Miss Varsha Patil explained, in short, about FACT exhibition. About 200 devout Hindus attended the program.

Shri. Eknath Maharaj Sadgir said, “Fanatic Muslims get political backing resulting in rise in terrorists’ activities in the country. It is now time to leave aside keertans and lectures and arm oneself. After seeing the exhibition, a person with conscience would surely feel hatred towards terrorism.”

Shri. Sanjay Kelkar said, “Genocide of Kashmiri Pundits is not only a problem related to Hindus but all patriots should be concerned about it. All those who are concerned about protection of this nation and Dharma should come together to tackle the issue. It is not the job of HJS alone but every citizen must participate in it. I shall also do my best to help and support activities of HJS.”

Shri. Ashok Bhoir said, “It is not possible to carry out terrorists’ activities without support of local people. All should come together to control terrorism. We will have to work hard for it. We will have to go to every nook and corner of this country and create awareness among people.”

Dr. Durgesh Samant said, “Genocide of Hindus is not an issue related only to Hindus, political parties or Dharma but it is an assault on humanity. All politicians and rulers should therefore, learn a lesson from the bitter experience and take steps to prevent its repetition; otherwise it will be destruction of our, more than thousand years old, culture. Kashmiri Hindus have become refugees and unsettled in their own country. There should be national awareness towards such happenings.”

The police did not grant permission to show the VCD on terrorists activities and effects of terrorism in Kashmir titled “………… and the World remained quiet” during the inaugural function on the excuse of organizers not taking permission for the same.

Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of HJS for the State of Maharashtra said, “This VCD has been shown not only in our country but also abroad and in international film festivals. It is very unfortunate that police have put a ban on showing the film at public place. It is an attempt to stop people from knowing reality and it shows the need for existence of Hindu organizations. It is a miserable effort on the part of the Government to show the world how our country is most secular. The VCD is not an attempt to hurt anyone’s feelings but an attempt to bring the truth before the world. In fact, it is the duty of the Government to create awareness among people toward terrorism as now it is not limited only to Kashmir but has spread all over the country. HJS has prepared the VCD at its own cost and efforts and still the Government’s such stance is really unfortunate. The title of the film is “…….. and the world remained quiet”, i.e. even when Hindus were suffering, subjected to severe atrocities at the hands of terrorists, there was no reaction from the whole world, it remained silent. This includes the Government, administration and rulers. Therefore, when HJS is trying to make people aware of the facts, the Govt. is pressurizing to save its skin and it is clear from the ban put on HJS from showing this film which has already been shown in international film festival and at many other places. But HJS will not fall a prey to any such pressure tactics and continue its task of creating awareness among people.”
