Dombivali (Mahatashtra): A photo-exhibition was held during the last week by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on terrorism in Kashmir followed with a review meeting of ‘Jidnyasus’. Many devout Hindus showed interest in participating in HJS activities. Shri. Sambhus, the Thane district coordinator of HJS explained the background of HJS. Shri. Prashnat Kulkarni appealed to attendees to join in HJS activities. Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of HJS for the State of Maharashtra clarified doubts raised by members of audience. One devout Hindu asked him that how long one has to tolerate such injustice and when do we fight back. Shri. Shinde said that HJS has reached about 300000 people through the exhibition using various mediums. Out of these, 3000 visited the exhibition and 25 persons were present for the meeting.

This indicates condition of Hindus. He said that HJS was not against aggression but in such situation, it would not benefit anyone to become aggressive. He advised that first like minded people should unite, get training on ‘dharma’. Hindus basically have ‘kshatravruttti / fighting spirit’ but today they have become like a lion’s cub raised among sheep. We should first achieve effective union of Hindus. Applications to register opinion against anti-Superstitions Bill were distributed to members of audience.

Dombivali (Maharashtra): Dr. Sacchidananda Shevade, a senior preacher said in a seminar organized on ‘Hindu Genocide’ that if Hindus come together forgetting their castes and creed, nobody would dare to cause any harm to Hindu Dharma or even say anything against Dharma. He said that people are asked about their caste at every juncture like getting admissions, employment, promotions etc. Whatever be the caste, it should remain within 4 walls of our house. When we shall unite as Hindus, nobody will have the guts to say anything against ‘Dharma.’

The seminar was organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in the background of photo-exhibition held there in association with FACT. Shri. Sharad Gambhirrao, the city-chief of Shiv Sena, Shri. Nandkumar Dhule, municipal councilor of BJP from Kalyan- Dombivali Municipal Corporation and Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the State spokesperson of HJS participated in the seminar.

Dr. Shevade said that the atrocities in Kashmir on Hindus have been going on for so many years now that the young generation has lost its significance; but terrorism can not be dealt with unless everyone takes it seriously. A VCD on the topic was also shown during the seminar. Shri. Sharad Gambhirrao said that people from Dombivali got to know the truth about terrorism in Kashmir and Bangla Desh due to the exhibition held by HJS. None of the political leaders tried to take initiative in the matter. He said, “There are many present here to create awareness towards Dharma; but it is very unfortunate that there is hardly anyone who would be ready to take action.”

Shri. Ramesh Shinde said that the Government has always ignored oppression of Hindus and as a result, terrorism has assumed such fierce form. It can be annihilated only when all of us unite. It is said that holding such exhibitions and brining truth before people will inflame their feelings; but the atrocities are ignored. Whatever is happening in Kashmir can happen in any part of the country and this exhibition will make people think and take action.

Shri. Nandkumar Dhule, a BJP Corporator of Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation said that after seeing the exhibition, he was not sure whether he was really a Hindu. He said the exhibition enrages one to know the condition of Hindus in Kashmir. Shri. Umesh Nakhye, the owner of Everest Hall made the hall available free of charge.
